RIG offers the following readings, fulfilling RIG’s charter "to promote the maritime history of American River".
RIG member Dr David Gillieson, a resident of American River, is a geographer with interests in the scientific exploration of Australia in the early 19th century. He is an Honorary Professor with the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of Melbourne. David has also held academic appointments at ANU, UNSW and JCU, and is an elected Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (UK). Thanks to David for his generosity in sharing these papers.
